Exchange & Refund Policy

At RESCENT, we want you to feel confident when choosing your fragrance. Because fragrance preference is personal, we offer 3ml samples for selected fragrances so you can experience the scent before purchasing a full-size bottle.

This policy applies to orders delivered within Egypt.

1. Full-Size Perfumes

A full-size perfume may be eligible for exchange or refund only when:

  • The bottle has not been opened or used.

  • The original seal, packaging, box, label, and any protective wrapping remain intact.

  • The product is returned in the same condition in which it was received.

  • The request is made within the applicable return period.

Once a perfume bottle has been opened, sprayed, tested, used, or its original packaging/seal has been removed or altered, it cannot be exchanged or returned for reasons related to scent preference or change of mind.

2. Fragrances With Samples Available

For fragrances where a 3ml sample is available for purchase, we strongly recommend purchasing and testing the sample before ordering the full-size bottle.

A customer's personal preference regarding the fragrance — including not liking the scent, finding it different from expectations, or changing their mind after opening or testing the full-size bottle — is not considered a product defect.

Accordingly, an opened or used full-size bottle cannot be returned or exchanged solely because the fragrance does not suit the customer's personal preference.

This does not affect your rights if the product is damaged, defective, leaking, incorrect, or otherwise covered by applicable consumer-protection regulations.

3. Samples & Discovery Sets

Due to the nature and size of fragrance samples and Discovery Set products, opened or used samples cannot be exchanged or returned for scent-preference reasons.

If a sample or Discovery Set arrives damaged, leaking, defective, or different from what was ordered, please contact us in accordance with the section below.

4. Damaged, Defective, Leaking, or Incorrect Products

If you receive a product that is:

  • Damaged;

  • Defective;

  • Leaking;

  • Incorrect;

  • Missing from your order; or

  • Significantly different from the product you ordered,

please contact RESCENT as soon as possible and provide:

  • Your order number;

  • Clear photos and/or video of the product;

  • Photos of the outer and inner packaging; and

  • A brief description of the issue.

Where the claim is confirmed, RESCENT will arrange the appropriate replacement, exchange, or refund in accordance with applicable Egyptian consumer-protection requirements.

Claims involving genuine product defects are handled separately from returns based on personal fragrance preference.

5. Scent Preference Is Not a Defect

Perfume perception varies significantly from one person to another and may be affected by skin chemistry, environment, temperature, storage, and individual perception.

Therefore, the following are not considered manufacturing defects by themselves:

  • “I don't like the smell.”

  • “It smells different on my skin.”

  • “I expected it to be sweeter/stronger/fresher.”

  • “The fragrance does not suit me.”

  • “I changed my mind after trying it.”

We therefore encourage customers to purchase a 3ml sample first whenever available.

6. Exchange or Refund Requests

To request an exchange or refund, contact:

Please include your:

  • Order number;

  • Full name;

  • Reason for the request; and

  • Supporting photos or videos where applicable.

Please do not return or ship any product before receiving confirmation from RESCENT. Unauthorised returns may not be accepted.

7. Refunds

Once an approved returned product has been received and inspected, we will confirm whether the refund has been approved.

Approved refunds will be processed using the applicable payment/refund method in accordance with the original transaction and applicable regulations.

Delivery or return-shipping arrangements will depend on the reason for the return and the applicable consumer-protection requirements.

8. Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any mandatory rights granted to consumers under applicable Egyptian laws and regulations.

Where Egyptian consumer-protection law provides the customer with rights beyond those described in this policy, the applicable law will prevail.

RESCENT reserves the right to inspect returned products before approving an exchange or refund.
